The home of the most visited monuments in Paris
Constructed in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel for the World's Fair, the Iron Lady is more than just a monument, it is a symbol of France. It houses a weather station and a TV and radio broadcasting site and offers unbeatable views of Paris. If you are lucky, you can have lunch in the Jules Verne restaurant perched 410 feet above the ground. Otherwise, you can eat on the lawns of the Jardin du Trocadéro. The park stands on a 23-acre site, next to the Palais de Chaillot, also dating back to 1937. After crossing over the Pont d'Iéna, the visit continues through the Champs de Mars, a huge public garden.
The Eiffel Tower district and its many museums
Erected in 1748, the École Militaire, with its very rich architecture, is still home to the Army elite. It is open to visitors, and you can discover a facade dating from the time of Louis XIV, the Château, the Cour d'Honneur, and the Chapelle Saint Louis. A few yards further, you will reach Les Invalides and its esplanade, where you can stand and admire the Pont Alexandre III and the Grand Palais. Particularly well worth a visit is the Musée du Quai Branly and its collections of works of art from Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Also worth a look, is the Palais de Tokyo, dedicated to contemporary art.
Transportation fit for a famous area.
Served by several metro stations, the RER, Vélib bicycle rental stations, Paris taxis, and buses, this district is extremely easy to get to, given the number of visitors it receives. Nearby, the many stores on Rue Cler are the place to do your shopping.

An Iconic Location
The Eiffel Tower, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris and around the world, is centrally located in the west side of the city's 7th arrondissement. The area is also home to two of the capital's best museums, the Musée D’Orsay and Quai Branly, along with Le Bon Marché, the oldest shopping center in the city. A picturesque part of Paris that's also one of the city's most desirable residential neighborhoods, the 7th is chock-full of charm and attraction. Enjoy a stroll through the area's sprawling, tree-lined avenues or along the Seine's pedestrianized quays, and pack a picnic for the stunning Champs de Mars gardens near the Eiffel Tower. You'll also be in the political heart of Paris, home to the French Parliament, the headquarters of UNESCO and many other ministries and embassies.
The Heart and Soul of Paris
Come experience the 7th arrondissement and the countless museums, cultural touchstones and monuments the district has to offer. Wonderfully walkable, the area is known for its local tours, cafés, gardens, art galleries and museums. But of course, the 7th's crowning glory is the Eiffel Tower, that awe-inspiring symbol of French culture beloved the world over.
Though criticized as an eyesore on its initial opening, the tower is now one of the most popular and instantly recognizable monuments on Earth. What's more, the Notre Dame is only a mile and a half away along the Seine. Experience the perfect beauty of the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a view of the many iconic tourist spots, from the privacy of your new home.
