A cosmopolitan area of Paris

A stone's throw from the Grands Boulevards, the Strasbourg Saint Denis district is bordered by Rue d’Hauteville, Faubourg Strasbourg Saint Denis, Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle, and Rue de Paradis. Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis, a former royal route, is also home to Porte Saint Denis, constructed in 1672 to celebrate the victories of Louis XIV.
