Montparnasse and its legendary theaters and brasseries

One of the pleasures of the district is to discover hidden gardens, for example around Rue des Thermophyles, or, just opposite Pernety metro station, heading towards Place de la Garenne. Attractions include the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson (2 Impasse Lebouis), located in a typical neighborhood alley inside a renovated workshop, which exhibits photographic works.

Plaisance/Pernety, where good food is a way of life

The district has a twice-weekly market (Avenue Villemain) and is packed with appetizing food venues, for example these two bakeries: Moulin de la Vierge (105 Rue Vercingétorix) and Fournée d'Augustine (96 Rue Raymond Losserand). The district is served by the Plaisance and Pernety metro stations (line 13).
