In the middle of the Jardin des Plantes, the Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle offers its fascinating collections and its spectacular Grande Galerie de l’Evolution. You really shouldn't miss Place de la Contrescarpe, at the top of Rue Mouffetard, with its cafés where it's nice to take a seat, the meeting place of regulars of the La Mouffe district.
